Flint Knapping Workshop
with lithic specialist and experimental archaeologist Will Attard

The day will start with a knapping demonstration showcasing the techniques used by our predecessors to shape flint and make stone tools. Following this all participants will be guided through methods of knapping and shaping flint and have a chance to produce their own stone age tool kit .
Participants will need to wear sturdy shoes and long trousers . Gloves , goggles , flint and all knapping equipment provided .
The workshop will run from 10-3 with a short break for lunch - Bread and soup and hot drinks included.
